Dispatch & Delivery
Subject to stock availability, we aim to dispatch your order within five working days, although orders placed on Friday or Saturday may take slightly longer. When your items are dispatched you will receive a confirmation email, providing details of your courier service.
Premium Standard Service
To ensure our fresh food products reach you in maximum freshness, and our wine and gifts arrive in perfect condition – when your items are dispatched we offer a premier next working day delivery service using an overnight courier. Tracking information will be sent in our shipping confirmation email, and on the morning of delivery you will be able to see your assigned two hour delivery slot.
For gifts and deli food orders this will be charged at a rate of £6.99
For fragile and heavy items (this includes all wine) this will be charged at £9.95
For wine purchases over a total value of £50 – we offer a discounted delivery rate on our next day courier delivery service at a cost of £6.99
Local Delivery / Click and Collect
Free local delivery is available for orders of a value over £50 to CA16 postcodes. Free local pick up at the Hotel is also available.
Delivery to Europe and the Rest of the World
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to despatch orders to Europe or the Rest of the World.
Alcoholic drinks can be purchased from this website for delivery only within the United Kingdom. By agreeing to our terms and conditions you confirm that if you are purchasing alcohol you are of at least the minimum legal age required to purchase and consume alcohol. In accordance with the Licensing Act 2003 it is an offence for any person in the United Kingdom under the age of 18 to buy or attempt to buy intoxicating liquor, or for any person over the age of 18 to buy intoxicating liquor on behalf of any person under the age of 18, subject to a maximum fine on conviction of £5,000. It is also an offence for persons under 16 years of age to buy liqueur chocolates.
Wine Orders: Breakages, Returns and Refunds
Whilst we pack our fragile goods in industry recommended packaging occasionally breakages do occur. These must be confirmed to us within 5 days of delivery. We will provide a full refund or replacement for any wines that are faulty though we may require the faulty bottle to be returned to us for examination.
We are happy to arrange collection of faulty goods at our cost though you must ensure that they are securely packed. A refund will only be given once we have received the goods back and have agreed that they are faulty. Please note that on occasions there may be an odd bottle that is out of condition (i.e. corked) due to no fault of Tufton Mews wines and that due to the costs involved in receiving and shipping such items we cannot accept returns of this nature nor refund them. We will not give refunds on wines that are returned that are in good condition but are not to the customers liking.
You may cancel your order at any time until fourteen days after delivery. Should you decide to cancel, all the charges relating to your order will be refunded as soon as the goods are returned in merchantable condition to us. On such returns Packaging and postage costs back to Tufton Mews wines are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Refunds may take up to 5 working days to appear in your account.
Gift Items: Returns and Refunds
If you are not entirely satisfied with your gift item, you may return your selection to us in a saleable condition for either refund or exchange at any time within fourteen days of delivery. Please note that goods are returned at your own cost and we recommend the use of a registered postal service for your protection.
In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged or faulty please get in touch and the situation will be resolved quickly. If the goods are being returned due to an error on our part, your postal costs will be refunded / or you will be provided with a pre-paid returns shipping label for your item.
Please allow up to 14 days upon receipt of your returned parcel for any exchange/refund to be processed, and once authorised refunds may take up to 5 working days to be credited to your account.
Non-Refundable Items – Please note we are unable to accept returns of earrings due to hygiene concerns
Deli Products: Non-Refundable Items
Please note that we are unable to accept items returned from the Food Hall/Deli including Food Hampers due to the nature of the fresh produce contained within them.
