Golf Courses in Cumbria
This resource for golf courses in Cumbria is to help you find out easily where to play. You maybe looking for a complete golfing break in Cumbria or perhaps for somewhere to stay and play a round of golf on the way north to Scotland.
Here in Appleby-in-Westmorland we have a gem of a course just 2 miles from the town on Brackenber Moor. It is always presented in great condition with fast greens, wonderful views of the Eden valley, North Pennines and Howgills. It is over 100 years old and has stood the test of time and offers a true test of your game. Up on the open moorland, it is likened to a links course as there are no trees and you will need your short game to be at its best as the greens are excellent and laser fast in the summer. The excellent natural drainage on the moorland means that Appleby is rarely shut even in the winter. Visitors are made very welcome at this friendly course and you can now at long last book tee times and I thoroughly recommend it to you. For information purposes below is a brief synopsis and links to the clubs within range of the hotel to help find your golf course in Cumbria.
