Murdoch Hill has a vein of ironstone running through the vineyard which produces Syrah of exceptional quality. The Landau displays red fruits, a medium-bodied palate with influences of spice, fine perfume and white pepper. This results in an aromatic wine with a sweetness of fruit that is delicous. The wine has a sleek mouthfeel, smooth tanninsĀ  and finishes long and with an edge of acidity. Not surprisingly the critics give a resounding 93!
