From deep soils right along the river and made by the same winemaker as Belle-Vue, the 2016 Château Bolaire is a blend of 50% Petit Verdot, 45% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 10% new French oak. It’s a ripe, blue fruit-driven effort that offers loads of tobacco, leafy herb, and damp earth characteristics, medium body, a silky, elegant texture, and a great finish. It also has outstanding purity of fruit and will keep for over a decade.
